
Chief Executive Officer
Randy Dietrich assumed the role of chief executive officer on January 1, 2008. From 2000 through 2007, he served as president as well as a member of the company’s leadership team. As senior vice president from 1988 to 2000, he was responsible for all of the company’s operations. During his 25-year tenure with Republic Financial, Mr. Dietrich has been instrumental in developing and building the company’s divisions and portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Republic Financial, Mr. Dietrich worked as a consultant, specializing in strategic planning and raising capital. His experience includes oil and gas exploration, financial services, and telecommunications. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant for Coopers and Lybrand.
A founding ambassador of the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassador Program, Mr. Dietrich is a strong advocate for raising public awareness of health issues. The Caring Ambassadors Program encourages individuals with a life changing or life threatening disease to take an active role in managing their health care and in supporting others with similar health issues.
Mr. Dietrich holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Married in 1984, Mr. Dietrich and his wife, Kim, live in Centennial, Colorado with their three children. He is active in his children’s lives and has coached them in various sports, including basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
President
Bob Possehl joined Republic Financial in 1997 as an analyst in the Aviation and Portfolio division and has held various other roles at the company including assistant director, assistant head and vice president of Capital Markets, as well as president of Special Assets, and executive vice president of Special Assets and Portfolio Companies. Since January 2008, Mr. Possehl has been the president of Republic Financial. In his current role, he oversees the Portfolio Companies and Special Assets business divisions. Mr. Possehl has been a member of the leadership team since 2001.
Prior to joining Republic Financial, Mr. Possehl was a financial manager for Vail Resorts, Inc. in Vail, Colorado and worked for NCR’s finance department in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Possehl serves on several of the boards of Republic Financial’s portfolio companies, including Great Lakes Castings, Community Bank Funding Company, and Griffith Enterprises.
Mr. Possehl holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Denver, Colorado with their three children.
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Dennis Bikun joined Republic Financial as chief financial officer and treasurer in May 2007. Mr. Bikun is charged with directing the company’s financial objectives and aiding in the company’s growth strategy. He brings with him more than 25 years of leadership and technical experience.
Before joining Republic Financial, Mr. Bikun was the executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer for UHY Advisors, Inc., a professional services firm providing tax and business consulting services to a wide variety of middle-market clients. While there, he played a key role in forming the company and achieving a ranking by Accounting Today as the thirteenth largest professional services firm in the country and one of the industry’s highest performing firms.
Prior to forming UHY Advisors, Mr. Bikun was the chief financial officer of Associated Estates Realty Corporation (AEC). In this role, Mr. Bikun led the firm’s capital markets efforts in raising more than $900 million in the public capital markets. Mr. Bikun has extensive experience in managing firms experiencing rapid growth through acquisition and internal initiatives. While at AEC, he held leadership roles in technology and financial reporting.
Mr. Bikun holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Akron and a Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Chief Operating Officer
Margaret Reich joined Republic Financial in June 2003 as a consultant and became the senior director of business process and reengineering in July 2004. In her initial role, Ms. Reich was focused on the reorganization of the corporate legal department to achieve efficiencies and optimal performance. In February 2005, Ms. Reich was promoted to vice president of operations, and in June 2006, to chief operating officer of Republic Financial. She is responsible for all operations of the company, including the legal, human resources, marketing, information technology, and process management departments.
Prior to Republic Financial, Ms. Reich was the senior director of legal services at AT&T Broadband, leading more than 250 people in the legal and government affairs department, and previously, the director of law technology at MediaOne/AT&T Broadband. Ms. Reich began her career as a process and systems consultant for Columbia Services Group before becoming the director of information systems at Hall & Evans.
Ms. Reich has served on several boards of Republic Financial’s portfolio companies, including Great Lakes Castings and Total Image.
Ms. Reich holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in marketing, a Master of Business Administration in finance and management information systems, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. Ms. Reich and her husband live in Larkspur, Colorado with their two children.
President, Special Assets
Chuck Singleton, president of the Special Assets division, joined Republic Financial in June 1997 to help build the acquisition and collection teams of the Special Assets group. Initially, his responsibility was to implement a pricing system to acquire non-performing loans. In January 2000, Mr. Singleton was promoted to managing director of the underwriting group, and in January 2005, Mr. Singleton became president of the Special Assets division.
Prior to joining Republic Financial, Mr. Singleton was the director of business development at Ocwen Financial Corporation, where he was instrumental in developing a pricing methodology for non-real estate backed assets. From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Singleton served as senior vice president and minority partner of General Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Singleton also has significant real estate experience, having built and developed single-family homes and commercial projects from 1980 to 1987 as president of his own firm.
Mr. Singleton holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Wichita State University. He was a licensed general contractor and has held a real estate license in Kansas. Mr. Singleton is on the board of managers for Community Bank Funding Company.
