Jim Possehl is the non-executive chairman of GMT Global and also the chairman of the board of Republic Financial, a company he founded in 1971. In 2007, he shifted his role as Republic Financial's chief executive officer to a part-time strategic advisory position. Frank Dowling is currently the managing director of Aviation Corporate Services Limited, a company which provides management services to Irish resident companies in the areas of company domiciliation, accountancy, taxation compliance and financial systems and processes. Aviation Corporate Services was created by the merger of Orion Corporate Services Limited with Douglas Aviation Limited.
Mr. Dowling previously worked with Airbus Financial Services in a number of positions, including as Chief Financial Officer and Director. He is currently an independent member of the board for a number of aviation leasing companies. Mr. Dowling has worked with a number of corporations within the financial and accountancy industry as an accountant and financial controller. Mr. Dowling is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
He holds a commerce degree from University College Cork and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin.
Niall McNamara has 16 years experience in the aviation industry. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG Ireland, Mr. McNamara’s career in aviation started with GPA Group plc in 1992. He was appointed Managing Director of the Isle of Man operations for GPA in 1994 and went on to establish Douglas Aviation (Isle of Man) in December 1995 and Douglas Aviation (Ireland) in 2007. Douglas Aviation (Ireland) has now merged with Orion Corporate Services to form Aviation Corporate Services.
Mr. McNamara has managed Douglas Aviation from its inception. He has gained an impressive portfolio of aviation clients and developed a team of aviation professionals with extensive expertise in this sector.
Mr. McNamara is a director of several aviation and transport companies operating in Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Malta. Mr. McNamara received a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. Here he majored in accounting and finance.
